Funded ProjectsEvery day is a fun-filled camp adventure shared with friends

May 19, 2014

ymca_camp_hydeSummer camp at YMCA Camp Hyde is about getting away, experiencing the outdoors, and unplugging from your everyday routine. Each week at camp, more than 400 kids have the opportunity to play, learn, and grow through a variety of fun activities, including climbing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, nature walks, sports, swimming, and more.

Helping young people grow and feel a sense of belonging is important. Y camps feature value-based programming led by caring staff who help kids have fun and memorable experiences.

Camp Hyde recently underwent an extensive makeover, now featuring an expanded lake and new pool, nature center and equestrian center. The nature center helps kids explore and connect with their environment including all the native plants and animals.

The Y believes that every kid deserves the chance to create memories in the great outdoors, regardless of income. Camp scholarships make that happen, thanks to your generous support to the Y’s Annual Campaign.
