Thank YousGiving Kids Time in the Wilderness
“We all need our ‘time in the Wilderness’ – especially the young, who have so little control over their surroundings and circumstances. Reading is one way that children grow beyond their immediate lives and prepare themselves for adventures ahead. Beth Anderson, a public school reading teacher, understood that perfectly, and thousands now read because of her. Camp allows children and youth the opportunity to see God’s world up close, beyond the concrete and planning of their urban communities. Chris Mikesell not only understood that principle, but enjoyed it in practice. Thank you for the generous $2,500 contribution for youth camp scholarships in memory of Beth to ensure that many will now enjoy this essential experience. We are honored to accept this portion of a legacy for these two remarkable souls.”

Following the passing of Beth Anderson, a close family friend and Chris’ honorary mom, the Foundation contributed $2,500 in memory of Beth and Chris.
