The Bartlett Arboretum, established in 1910, is a beautiful botanical garden in Belle Plaine, Kan., not far from where Chris grew up. The Arboretum preserves and protects the environment’s natural beauty. The Mikesell Family used to visit the gardens together to enjoy nature, and now the Foundation helps give other families the opportunity to visit the gardens by providing a $2,000 grant for operating costs in 2016.
