In 2016, the Chris Mikesell Foundation awarded a $2,500 grant to The Crested Butte Nordic Council to purchase a grooming roller, perfect for prepping the trails after a light snow. Local youth, including students of Western State Colorado University, have benefitted from the new equipment.
